SUMMARY:THROUGH A WHALE\'S EYE: A MONTHLY MYSTICAL FILM DIVE
LOCATION:https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82077733336
DESCRIPTION:Beloved Community,
Have you ever sensed that certain films carry codes of remembrance beneath their surface stories? That they serve not only as entertainment, but as portals into deeper awareness, collective archetypes, and soul evolution?
We invite you to a new offering for 2026:
Through a Whale’s Eye: Discovering the Larger Patterns Embedded in Film
Like a sacred book club — but cinematic — this monthly Zoom gathering invites you to watch a film on your own beforehand, and then join a curated circle of consciousness explorers to dive beneath the surface.
Each month, we’ll swim into the mythic, symbolic, and spiritual layers of a selected film — using the lens of expanded consciousness and archetypal mapping to uncover the deeper story beneath the story.
Here are some of the questions we’ll explore together:
What is this film really saying — beneath the surface?
What initiatory or archetypal themes does it activate?
How is it whispering (or roaring) to your soul’s journey?
What shadows or luminous truths is it illuminating?
What collective myths is it reinforcing — or rewriting?
How is this film affecting the collective mind-field of Earth?
And how might that be shaping our shared reality?
This will be an interactive experience — not a passive webinar. You’ll be warmly invited to share your own insights, visions, and inner stirrings. We’re not just watching — we’re alchemizing meaning together.
This is a space to train your vision to see “through the Whale’s eye” — vast, wise, and attuned to the unseen currents of collective transformation.
Join us for our voyage:
Featured Film: \"HILMA OF KLINT\"
This is a powerful film about the angst of an artist’s vision not being understood or honored during her lifetime; about a woman giving her power away to a male authority figure (in this case Rudolph Steiner) to judge her artwork rather than continuing to believe in her own inner guidance and vision of building a temple to house her spiritually guided art. Hilma (2022) is a biographical drama that chronicles the unconventional life of Swedish artist Hilma of Klint, a quiet pioneer who created groundbreaking abstract paintings years before her male contemporaries. Following the tragic childhood loss of her younger sister, Hilma seeks solace in spiritualism, leading her to form a sacred collective known as \"The Five\" (De Fem) with fellow female artists who meet for séances, automatic drawing, and spiritual exploration. Believing her vivid, geometric canvases are directly channeled from higher spiritual guides, she defies the patriarchal art establishment of her era while navigating complex relationships, artistic doubt, and key encounters with figures like anthroposophist Rudolf Steiner. Recognizing that her visionary work is too radical for the world of her time, Hilma ultimately decrees that her art remain hidden from the public until decades after her death, sealing a legacy of profound faith in the future.
We send out a synthesis before the call so that even if you have not watched the film before the call, you can be a part of the lively discussion around the spiritual content of the film. Join us to enjoy diving into this moving film.
