Beloved Community,
Join us for a Community Luminary Call with Annalisa Derr, PhD — goddess scholar, ritual artist, women’s spiritual guide, and author of the forthcoming book Sovereign Menstrual Power: Embodying Cycles of Regeneration with the Goddess Inanna.
In this intimate conversation, Annalisa will share her living relationship with pilgrimage as something far more than travel to a sacred place. For her, pilgrimage has become a way of life — a path of Love, surrender, devotion, and embodied remembrance.
Having recently completed her third Mary Magdalene pilgrimage, Annalisa will reflect on the deeper heart of pilgrimage as an inner journey of transformation, where the outer landscape becomes a mirror for the soul. Each step becomes an invitation to listen more deeply, to release what no longer serves, and to remember something essential about who we are.
Through the legends and mythology of Mary Magdalene in southern France, Annalisa will explore Magdalene as the archetypal initiate — the heroine who journeys into the unknown in service of love, devotion, and sacred transformation. She will also weave connections between the Magdalene-Christ mysteries, the mystical poetry of Rumi, and the eternal dance of lover and beloved, Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine, longing and union.
Ultimately, this call invites us to contemplate pilgrimage not only as a physical journey, but as a spiritual practice of returning to Love — Love as path, Love as destination, Love as the deepest nature of the soul.
Annalisa’s work draws from goddess traditions, depth psychology, ritual, and embodied spiritual practice. She guides women from patriarchal daughter to sovereign woman through the healing of internalized sexism, the reclamation of menstrual wisdom, and the awakening of the Divine Feminine as a living presence within the body.
Inspired by the ancient Mesopotamian goddess Inanna, Annalisa reimagines the menstrual cycle as a sacred process of death, rebirth, and regeneration through which women can encounter their own embodied divinity. She leads sacred feminine workshops, Mary Magdalene pilgrimages in France, and creates original goddess-centered ritual performances that have been presented in Greece, Italy, and California.
Annalisa holds a PhD in Mythological Studies and Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, co-hosts the YouTube show Goddess Matters, and divides her time between Greece and California.
Her forthcoming book, Sovereign Menstrual Power, is available for preorder through Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Inner Traditions | Simon and Schuster
