COMMUNITY LUMINARIES: ELAYNE KALILA — PRIESTESSING A WORLD IN CRISIS WITHOUT LOSING OURSELVES

Dear Beloved Community,

 

In this call Elayne Kalila will invite us into one of the most essential questions of our time: how do we priestess a world in crisis without losing ourselves to it? How do we stand as Love? The kind of Love that has walked through fire and came back with clear eyes, in the face of what is being asked of us right now? 

How do we become the living presence of justice that is also tenderness, the witness who does not look away and does not collapse?

Together we will explore what it means to be a midwife to a civilization in labor: to feel the full weight of what is being lost, to grieve it honestly, and to remain, rooted and visionary and sovereign, in service to what is being born. 

Because the world being born needs us coherent. It needs us dreaming with precision. The most radical act available to a priestess right now is to refuse despair, and to return again and again to the altar of vision, to the knowledge that we are here at this threshold because this is exactly the work we came to do.

In this call we will explore:

• How to stay present to the suffering of the world without being consumed by it
• How to hold grief and vision at the same time, as a spiritual and embodied practice
• How to understand justice as an expression of love, and love as an act of resistance
• How to midwife the world that is dying while calling forth the world that is being born
• How to remain rooted in your own sovereignty, clarity, and purpose when everything around you is in upheaval
