SOUL SALON Luminosi-TEA Party
Starting with the dictionary meaning of the word Luminosity:
.. the quality of being luminous; emitting or reflecting light
.. the quality of being intellectually brilliant, enlightened, inspired
.. the intrinsic brightness of a celestial object (as distinct from its apparent brightness diminished by distance). the brightness of a star in comparison with that of the sun: the luminosity of Sirius expressed as 23 indicates an intrinsic brightness 23 times as great as that of the sun.
It is no wonder that though the word Luminous started out meaning emitting or reflecting light, and that it has come to indicate inner radiance..like a lantern lit from within, which is why it is used as a word in conjunction with brilliant, enlightened, inspired. The whole process of enlightenment is a path of not just reflecting outer light, but rather shining from within, what has been illuminated by the original Source of light. Saints and mystics are said to glow with an inner light, often depicted in art with a mandorla or halo of light around their bodies or heads. Often this luminosity is reflected in their creative expressions and experienced as a deeply felt communication of that light/luminosity, such as Beethoven’s Ode to Joy or a poem by Rumi that is deeply suffused with a felt experience of light transmission.
When intellectual brilliance is touched by this inner luminosity, alchemically the creative form can, with intention, take on the frequency of that state in which it was created. In the movie “Immortal Beloved” about the life of Beethoven, he stated clearly that his music was a direct expression of his inner experience while writing that piece of music. In other words, the music transmitted the frequency of that experience directly to the listener, with no mental interface, no need to “understand” it. One is simply changed vibrationally, alchemically through the deep listening/reception to the luminosity of that creative offering. There is however, a caveat to this process. The key to assimilation of this vibrational frequency is that you are not just a passive listener, rather you are a co-conductor of frequency with your emptiness, your vitally alive presence in the present moment and an acutely focused perception, which fulfills the completion of the sacred circuit of transmission-reception. In this, with each hearing you literally recreate the original musical tapestry anew. Alchemically speaking, as a magical practice, if you wish to amplify the experience of luminosity, you may wish to choose any color of a thread of intention that you desire to be woven into that frequency fabric, to be merged and thus alchemically empowered in that rich sound tapestry. This principle is masterfully demonstrated in Kyrie from “Missa Solemnis” by Beethoven. Individual strands of voice/light, vulnerably reveal themselves in pure tone, then merge sensuously with other color frequencies to create the full tapestry of light/luminosity.
Question:
Have you ever listened to a piece of music as a total foreground experience of focus, not just sound running without attention in the background? How was your experience different?
Is there a piece of music where you palpably felt a direct transmission of light frequency from taking the music deeply in?
Is there a poem or piece of writing in which you felt a visceral transmission of light/luminosity from deeply taking it in?
We live in a holographic reality that is completely interconnected and woven from One luminous Light Source. In Sanskrit it is called Indra’s Net. All life as a totality creates a living web of Oneness… a Light Loom upon which all life is woven. Though we are one light node in that hologram of the whole, we have natural access to all other aspects of that whole, due to its being a hologram. When inspiration “strikes” it represents two unique aspects of the same hologram connecting with each other in a moment and thus illuminating something new, in their unique connection and interaction.. In seeing/feeling/sensing that unique connection and combination, something that to our awareness is unique and novel for us, is “lit up” illuminated, inspiring us to “breath that connection in”. In short we are inspired. To activate this creative process requires emptiness, one pointed focus and full presence to “feel/hear/see” the unique inspiration arising from the background of the whole luminous hologram of reality
What for you are the circumstances that support your being creatively inspired?
Where do you find you need support in getting from the point of inspiration to actually creating something tangible from that inspiration?
